    Looking for an outing for your group? We offer a unique variety of pottery, clay, glass or canvas activities sure to please any group. From ages 3 to 100, we can customize your project to meet your group at their level. And we know resources aren't limitless, so we keep our prices as low as we can.   • BSA Pottery Merit Badge Clinic

    Pottery Merit Badge This one day merit badge clinic completes all requirements to complete the BSA Pottery Merit Badge.  This clinic is open to  First Class Scouts and above and is limited to 20 scouts.  The cost is $52.75, which covers all materials, firing, painting, merit badge worksheets and instruction.  Participants should wear class C uniforms.

  • Mini-Party ($25 deposit required)

    Mini-Birthday Party   Want to celebrate your birthday with us on a smaller scale?  Then have a mini-party!  Just bring in a few friends and a smile - instant fun!   Mini-parties allow you to have the birthday experience for up to 10 painters.  We reserve a table for you with decorations.  You and your guests pick from our wide variety of pottery items.  We will show you how to create your masterpiece.  We glaze and fire it so it will be all shiny (dishwasher/food safe).  Items will be ready for the party host to pick up a week later.  The final cost is based on what the party-goers paint minus the deposit.   And what party wouldn't be complete without cake?  Feel free to bring your favorite birthday dessert to enjoy.  Feel free to open presents too!

  • Intermediate Pottery Wheel Class

    For those who have thrown on the wheel before or have completed the beginner's pottery wheel class, this class teaches you new techniques to make other pieces on the wheel. Each class starts with a review of the 4 basic steps, then moves ahead to specialized techniques to make the design of the month. We end with trimming the piece to give it a professional look. Suited for those who have wheel throwing experience and are at least 10 years or older. This class includes -2 hours of instruction -Clay, firing, paint and use of all tools needed -Use of clay and wheel to trim the piece (normally the following day) Sign up early - class is limited to 4 people. Cost is $35 - ever better than the Beginner's Wheel Class! Class is held the 2nd Sunday of each month from 3-5 p.m. Upcoming Classes Special Tips and Techniques Dec. 2013, May 2014, Oct. 2014 Mugs January 2014, June 2014, Nov. 2014 Plates February 2014, July 2014, Dec. 2014 Pitchers and vases March 2014, Aug. 2014 Chip & dip trays, ring holders, etc April 2014, Sept. 2014 Hair bands and trimmed nails are recommended. Clay is messy fun - we do not recommend your Sunday best clothes.

  • Beginning Pottery Wheel Class @ Wausau

    Ready for a new challenge? Or is this a bucket list item? Either way, pottery wheel throwing is fun, relaxing, rewarding and enjoyable. Our 2 hour beginner's class teaches you the four basic steps to pottery wheel throwing and focuses on making bowls - the most basic wheel thrown shape. Those who have taken the Beginner's Class will be be able to take part in our Intermediate Pottery Wheel classes or use the pottery wheels during our open wheel times. Class includes -2 hours of instruction. -Clay and use of all tools needed. -Up to 2 bowls. -Firing and then painting/glazing of bowls. The class is limited to 4 participants.   • Birthday Party in Wausau! ($25 deposit required)

    A party at Clay Corner Studio means hassle fun free for you and your child.  You will have no mess, clean up or screaming kids at your home plus each child will make their own treasure!   As a bonus the birthday child gets to leave his or her mark on our Birthday Wall.   We require a $25 non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. The deposit is applied to the balance due on the day of the party.   Birthday Party includes  ·         1 1/2 hours of creativity and party time ·         Private instructor ·         All project materials ·         Time for gift opening and birthday dessert.   • Summer Camp @ Clay Corner Wausau!

    Here is where the FUN starts!   Once again we are offering a variety of fun and creative summer camp options.Classes are for kids entering 1st grade through 16 years old.  Class will be taught to the child's level.   We've made camps even easier this year!  You can sign up for one day, one week, or all summer!   Each day is only $20, but you get a 6th class free when you attend 5 classes.   Each day has a different project using clay, canvas, glass, or pottery painting.   Check out the pictures above.  You can sign up online or give us a call (715-848-2607 in Wausau)(715-544-6068 in Stevens Point).   If signing up online, please click on the first class date on the calendar.  Then click on the class(es) you want to take on the "EXTRAS" page.   We can't wait for Summer!

  • Home School Classes

    Home Schoolers, we're back!!! This year we made it easier to see the projects and sign up online. Classes are open to any home-schoolers ages 6-16. If you are new to our classes, we offer a different art project each week using either clay, glass, canvas painting or pottery painting. Each class is still only $12 if you sign up online or in person, $17 if you don't sign up before the day of the class (so please sign up early). These classes are already discounted, so no other coupons or offers can be applied. Sorry. To sign up, just click on the date you are interested in and the program will walk you through registration.   • Ladies' Night !

      Ladies' Nights are a great way to unwind! We provide snacks, you can bring a beverage and feel free to bring a friend or two. We will play great music, give painting tips if you want them and let you use any specialty glazes or techniques for free! Come dressed by theme or bring a game to share and you will be entered into our door-prize drawing too! Wausau Ladies' Night is the 2nd Tuesday of each month.  Reservations are strongly encouraged so we can have enough staff to help everyone. We require a $5 deposit which is applied to your Ladies' Night total.

  • Paint by Number

    So often we hear, “I just don’t have artistic talent” or “I could never do that”.  Well, we are here to show you that you can.  Paint by Number is a class invented for adults who really want to make that cool project they see on the shelf, but need guidance to learn how.  (Everyone else is welcome too, you can start with us and then just add and create to your hearts content.   This class isn’t just for beginners, but anyone who wants to have fun!)  These step by step classes will provide instruction on how to create a designated design on whichever piece of pottery you choose.  You can create, chat and snack while hanging out with friends, co-workers or neighbors.  It’s a great way to have fun and we guarantee your piece will be great!  Feel free to bring your own drinks, this class is open to everyone ages 21 and over.    Reservation is required at time of booking.  The balance due will depend on your pottery piece selection and will be due on your class night.
